Hello,

I just finished law school at Golden Gate University School of Law where I served as the Student Bar Association President.

This year we got a lot accomplished and I just want to thank all of the hard work by the whole SBA.

We did some great things for the school first semester and both the Barrister's Ball and Student/Faculty Dinners were absolutely fantastic.  We helped raise over $30,000 for PILF! It was really great to have a group of student leaders who are so dedicated no only to the student body, but to the advancement of our school.

This past spring I interned for the Real Estate Law firm Tour-Sarkissian Law Offices under the watch of Christine and Paul Tour-Sarkissian.http://www.tslo.com/. I thank them for throwing me to the wolves.  Omar, Nicole and Cappy, you rock.

Over my law school career, I served as a TA for Property (Roger Bernhardt), Evidence (Judge Maria-Elena James), Contracts (Jon Sylvester), Criminal Law (Helen Chang), Research and Writing (Michael Zamperini).  I also served as a Peer Mentor to the 1L's last year, helped organize a tennis club, participated in APALSA and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.

The summer of 2005, I worked for the firm of MacDonald and Associates.http://www.samlaw.net. First year, I had an internship with an Intellectual Property Firm Austin Law Group. http://www.austinlawgroup.com.  Both jobs have provided me with ample hands on experience with litigation and negotiation.  Thank you Steve and Allison for the incredibly positive experiences.

For those of you thinking about GGU, it's really a great school.  I can't say enough about the kind of professors we have at this school.  They are really dedicated to their field AND to being effective teachers.  GGU provides an excellent education.  My personal Olympus of professors includes: Helen Chang, Jon Sylvester, Myron Moskovitz, Robert Calhoun, and Alan Cadgene among many others.

I received a Certificate in Real Estate Law from GGU.  Some of the classes I took to satisfy that requirement include: Federal Tax, Mortgage Law, Commercial Finance, Accounting for Lawyers, and Real Estate Litigation.

Contact me any time at jr@ubercomputer.com.

I may do a few other things with this site, but, for now, I don't have time for that stuff.  I'm now getting ready for the bar.

Very Truly Yours,

JR Richards
